ABOUT
Amit Elkayam (b. 1996 in Kiryat Tivon, Israel) is a documentary photographer based in Tel Aviv.
His works often reflects human interactions with their environments, aiming to reveal unfamiliar aspects of what is considered familiar.
Since 2021, he’s been a frequent contibutor for The New York Times, mainly covering stories from Israel.
Elkayam’s work has been published by The New Yorker Magazine, TIME Magazine, The New York Times, NBC News, VICE, HUCK Magazine, Ha’aretz, PhMuseum and ICP.
In 2018 he graduated from the Documentary Prectice and Visual Journalism Program at the International Center of Photography (ICP), in New York City.
