ABOUT 

Amit Elkayam (b. 1996 in Kiryat Tivon, Israel) is a documentary photographer based in Tel Aviv.
His works often reflects human interactions with their environments, aiming to reveal unfamiliar aspects of what is considered familiar. Since 2021, he’s been a frequent contributor to The New York Times.

Elkayam’s work has been published by The New Yorker, TIME,
The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN,
Financial Times Magazine, Die Zeit, NZZ, NBC News,
VICE, HUCK Magazine, Ha’aretz, PhMuseum and ICP.


He’s a graduate from the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism Program at the International Center of Photography (ICP), in New York City.
